Vada Pav
Vada Pav, a most famous and iconic Mumbai dish, hinges on only two central elements - the vada and the pav, along with the supporting roles of the chutney and masala of course. It is a well-known veggie-lover road food eaten in Mumbai and the rest of Maharashtra. Ashok Vaidya who was Vada Pav pioneer, but it was the Shiv Sena's efforts to project it as the snack. Vada pav essentially has Batata vada which is sandwiched between two cuts of a pav (supper roll) finished off with sweet chutney, green chutney, and dry garlic chutney.
