The region receives heavy rainfall, making the hill’s narrow tracks slippery and vulnerable to landslides. During this period, shuttle services between Aman Lodge and Matheran continue to operate for local convenience. However, with clear skies and the tourist season approaching, Central Railway has decided to resume full-fledged services between Neral and Matheran from November 6, 2025.
